It was established in 2005 through the merger of Jadran-Turist from Rovinj and Anita from Vrsar, following their acquisition by Adris Group. Today, Maistra manages 19 hotels, 11 tourist resorts, and six campsites, offering over 13,700 accommodation units in internationally renowned tourist destinations: Rovinj, Vrsar, Zagreb, and Dubrovnik, with Split soon to join the list.
With annual revenue nearing EUR 300.5 million and 4.5 million satisfied guests, the company commands nearly 4% of Croatia’s market share, ranking among the top three tourism companies in the country.
During the peak season, Maistra has 4,500 team members on staff.
Maistra’s vision is to become the market leader in the tourism sector in Croatia and beyond through continued investments in development, service improvement, and the introduction of new amenities.
Maistra’s portfolio is divided into sub-brands – Maistra Collection, Maistra City Vibes, Maistra Select, and Maistra Camping – reflecting the attributes of the properties, their location, guest demographics, and the exclusive experiences they provide. What they all share is Maistra Hospitality Group as the umbrella brand, with its key message: ‘Rejuvenation of the Body, Mind, and Spirit.’
Since 2014 and 2018, respectively, the company has also been the owner of hotels under the Marriott and Hilton hotel chains.
By 2027, Maistra plans to invest EUR 400 million in development projects, including the Grand Marjan Hotel in Split, a luxury five-star hotel, in addition to the further development of existing properties in its other destinations.
